Using the AdHoc Action Dashboard (Web)
The Action Dashboard in the AuditApp web application gives you a centralized view of all AdHoc Actions across your locations. From here you can monitor open, overdue, and closed actions, filter and group them, view action details, add comments, and close actions directly from the dashboard. This article walks you through how to navigate and use the AdHoc Actions tab.
Step 1: Navigate to the Action Dashboard
From the left-hand navigation menu, click on Action Dashboard. This will take you away from the Home screen and into the actions management area.

Step 2: Open the AdHoc Actions Tab
The Action Dashboard has two tabs at the top: Actions and AdHoc Actions. Click the AdHoc Actions tab (marked with a NEW badge) to view AdHoc Actions specifically. The summary tiles at the top will display total counts for Open, Overdue, and Closed actions within the selected date range.

Step 3: Adjust the Date Range
By default, the dashboard shows actions for the current date range. To change the range, click the Date field at the top left. A date picker will appear with quick presets (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month) or you can manually select a custom start and end date using the calendar. Once your date range is set, click Save to apply the filter.

Step 4: Use Filters and Group By Options
The right-hand panel contains a Filters section that lets you narrow results by:
• Status — Open, Closed, Overdue, Critical
• Type — Task, Initiative, Informational, Training
• Brands and Markets
• Location Types
Below the summary tiles, the Group By radio buttons allow you to organize the list by: AdHoc Action, Locations, Created By, Assigned To, or None. You can also use the Search Actions bar to find a specific action by keyword.

Step 5: View AdHoc Action Details
Click on any action row in the list to open the AdHoc Action Info modal. This displays a complete summary of the action including:
• Type badge (e.g. TASK)
• Description
• Status (Open / Closed)
• Due Date (with overdue indicator if applicable)
• Created by and Created on
• Location
• Assigned To
• Read receipt status

Step 6: Add a Comment to an Action
Within the AdHoc Action Info modal, scroll down to the Comments section and click Add Comment. A text input field will appear where you can type your comment. You can also optionally attach an image by clicking Attach Image. Once ready, click Add to save the comment. Submitted comments will appear in the Comments section along with the commenter's name, date, and any attached image.

Step 7: Close an AdHoc Action
To close an action, click the Close button in the Status column of the action list. A Close Action modal will appear. If the action was configured to require a closing image, you will need to upload a photo before the action can be closed — click the Upload images area and select a file from your computer. Once done, click Close Action to confirm.

| Please note: If the action requires a closing image, the Close Action button will remain greyed out until a photo has been uploaded. |
Once the action is closed, a confirmation banner (You have successfully closed the action) will appear at the bottom of the screen, and the action's status in the list will update to Closed with the date it was closed.

Step 8: Create a New AdHoc Action from the Dashboard
You can also create a new AdHoc Action directly from the web dashboard. In the top-right area of the AdHoc Actions tab, click the + AdHoc Action button. A creation form will open where you can fill in all the action details. Refer to the Creating an AdHoc Action in AuditApp (Mobile) help article for a full breakdown of all available fields.
| Please note: The download icon next to the + AdHoc Action button allows you to export the current view to a CSV file for reporting purposes. |
